Scholarship Recipient 2006 Meagan Mohr
DONOGHUE
SCHOLARHSIP
This
scholarship is awarded by Star of Texas Arabian Horse Club, in
memory of Louise & Gerald Donoghue. The Donoghue Ranch in
Goliad was established in 1949 and in the years that followed
Donoghue Arabians won National and International honors. For many in
South Texas the Donoghue Ranch was the first Arabian Ranch visited
and the childhood dreams of owning an Arabian horse were revived or
made possible.
The most
famous Donoghue Arabian of course was CASS OLE, American Horse
Shows Association " Horse of the Year" and seen by millions in
the movie "The Black Stallion". Quality,
good disposition and performance ability were the hallmarks of a
Donoghue-bred Arabian, just as integrity, generosity, charity and
graciousness were qualities personified by their
breeders.

graduates but one stood out, Meagan Mohr from Hobson, Texas. She
graduated from Karnes City High School with a 94.28GPA and 18th out

obtain a Masters in Psychology.
Meagan is a National Honor Society student, and
